New York taxes and other increases in tobacco will eventually push the cigarette pack over $10. New York is not the only state to take on new and higher prices. Florida is another state with higher cigarette costs *(about $5 per pack).

An expected decline in sales is the result of the high cost and in a bad economy, less and less people are buying tobacco cigarettes.

The good news of course, is the Electronic Cigarette is the next best thing.
