The electronic cigarette is the first major invention for nicotine intake in a very long time. Cigarettes have been all the rave in the U.S. and other countries and up until now have been the choice of nicotine intake. Until now.

* through the skin.

What does nicotine do?:

People who intake nicotine trigger the releasing the adrenaline hormone, which causes:

* fast, shallow breathing
* high blood pressure
* increased heartbeat

When there are spikes of adrenaline blood stored glucose is also releaseed, giving the user a short-term energy boost.
At the same time, nicotine suppresses the release of insulin, which prevents the body from re-storing released glucose and it is this suppression that also suppresses the appetites and people on nicotine generally do not feel hungry.

One more effect of nicotine is it can lightly raise your at rest metabolic rate and some use nicotine or (smoking) as a way to loose weight.

The electric cigarette so far has not shown to contain as many chemicals as tobacco smoke and it also provides many benefits including: No second hand smoke, no fire, no tar, ability to smoke indoors, and it allows electric cigarette smokers to continue enjoying cigarettes.
